Customise each moment: with the Gira HomeServer, you can easily put complex scenarios into practice. Even garden irrigation and smart speakers can be integrated into the system. All data transmission is, of course, encrypted.

Create exactly the ambience you’re looking for in your home. Set light scenes that make you feel good and activate them any time at the touch of a button. If you’ve got dimmer switches, you can set your lighting to any brightness level. Use the Gira HomeServer app to configure all of the settings and fixed time combinations that you need.

Position your blinds exactly how you like them. Up or down, slats open or closed: You can configure your settings based on the weather or the time of day and control everything from the control panel or app. You can also link up your heating and blind systems: For example, in winter, you can let the sun in when it’s at the right level and turn down the heating temperature accordingly. This solution is more than just practical: It also saves money and energy.

When it comes to climate control in the home, you know what suits you best. With single-room controls, the Gira HomeServer ensures that each room is at the right temperature, at the right time – based on your settings.

The latest 4.11 update for the Gira HomeServer makes operation even more intuitive than it already was. For example, you can check the lighting status and the blinds‘ position on the floor plan display. In the Quad Client, you can also switch between light and dark designs. Sounds interesting? With the Gira HomeServer, your home adapts to you. Set your TV to automatically switch on at your favourite channel when you arrive home. At the same time, the system closes the blinds and switches on the lights to create your pre-programmed evening scene. At the weekend, you can play your favourite music on every speaker in your home: Thanks to the Gira HomeServer, you can use your phone, tablet or TV to play a fitting soundtrack in any room, at any time – from jazz in the living room and audio books in the kids’ room to pop music in the bath. Sonos speakers are ideal for this kind of set-up.

Control your KNX even without a switch or app – simply with your voice. Sit back and relax while you switch your lights, control the blinds and regulate the room temperature. All you need is the Gira S1 and a language assistant of your choice: Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Connect one of the two language assistants to your KNX and experience the comfort of voice control. To use the function you need the software update for your Gira HomeServer, available since August 2020.

There are many different ways to use the Gira HomeServer – from centrally controlling your lighting, blinds, heating and entertainment to special functions, including as a panic switch or for presence simulation. The Gira HomeServer is also capable of controlling door intercoms, cameras and selected third-party systems for plumbing, entertainment or gardening. In the ‘Favourites’ menu, you can group together all of the functions you use most frequently. If you wish, you can even get the system to display images from up to four cameras at once.

The user interface can also be customised. For example, you can work with a specialist partner to add a layout plan of your home to the system.

The HomeServer can be controlled via the Gira app. Using the symbol tiles, you can access all of your smart home applications. The coloured corners tell you whether you’ve selected detailed settings for each specific function. The Gira interface is structured in the same way on all operating devices, so whether you’re using a Gira G1, PC, tablet or smartphone, you’ll be using the same interface, adapted to suit the screen size. No matter which device you use or where you’re controlling your electronic systems from, you’ll never need to switch between interfaces.

Using KNX technology in conjunction with the Gira HomeServer, you can intelligently and efficiently connect a vast range of technologies and functions – from lighting, blinds, heating and climate technology to ventilation, security and entertainment systems. The functions and connection possibilities are virtually limitless, and can be adjusted at any time to suit your individual needs and lifestyle.
