The existing iPhone connection is not a device-specific connection and is therefore not password protected. We therefore recommend that you use an open VPN connection with X1 configuration file and password protection.

Whilst the wired KNX system exchanges information via a KNX cable, the KNX RF system uses a wireless signal, meaning there is no need to lay cables. KNX RF can also be used to extend an existing wired KNX system.
Up to 50 scene sets can be created in the Gira X1.
Each scene can then be triggered by up to ten trigger points.
The HomeServer logic differs in terms of the commands and outputs. The outputs can be used to send the results of the nodes to the KNX or link them directly to other nodes via PINS. Commands are used to trigger alarms, call up light scenes and sequences, etc. Please find attached a pdf document with important information on the basic working principles of the logic.
