Behaviour:
In rare cases, connection problems between the wall/hand-held transmitters and the lights may be caused by excessive data traffic in the wireless network (e.g. WLAN router).
Solution:
Manually change the ZigBee® channel.
Philips Hue (Version 1.11.1.0):
Note:
All lights must be switched on! The process lasts 30 seconds.
Osram Lightify (Version v1.6.0):
Communication exclusively between transmitter and light (no bridge or gateway):
ZigBee® is an international wireless standard developed for smart homes by the ZigBee® Alliance. This standard allows devices in close proximity to be networked. Known examples of ZigBee®-compatible products include Phillips Hue lights.
You can call up the colours and scenes set in the app and save these in the wall/hand-held transmitter. To save, press and hold the desired scene button for four seconds.
Requirement:
Commissioning via an Android end device for the Philips Hue Bridge.
Behaviour:
The Android Philips Hue app (Version 1.11.1.0) displays the error that performing an “automatic search” again does not open the network.
Solution:
Before performing an “automatic search” again, first leave the Settings menu. Once you have done this, a connection can be re-established (See Operating instructions Section 4.1).
1. Make the Hue Bridge network recognise the wall and hand-held transmitter. To do this, open the Hue app and search for new lights.
Press the wall/hand-held transmitter buttons (bottom left and top right) at the same time for four seconds until the LED flashes.
Distance from Hue Bridge < 50 cm. Caution! The Hue app does not inform you that the wall and hand-held transmitter has been found/connected. This can only be seen on the wall and hand-held transmitter when the green LED lights up for three seconds.
If you cannot get the bridge to recognise the wall and hand-held transmitter, restore the wall and hand-held transmitter to factory settings. Press and hold buttons 3+4. After 10 seconds, the LEDs will flash green. Release buttons 3+4 and briefly press the 0 button within ten seconds. The transmitter has been reset to factory settings.
Once reset, the LED will light up green for three seconds. If the wall and hand-held transmitter are on the same network, you can proceed as follows:
2. Connect the wall and hand-held transmitter to any light -Press and hold the buttons on the bottom right and top left until the LEDs flash green or the light comes on briefly ---> In the vicinity of the light < 50 cm. The light flashes to confirm. The wall/hand-held transmitter has now been recognised by the light. Repeat step two for the remaining lights.
