Connecting a camera uses one of the X1 functions; so the number depends on the number of X1 functions used. There are a total of 250 functions available.
Up to 50 scene sets can be created in the Gira X1.
Each scene can then be triggered by up to ten trigger points.
Whilst the wired KNX system exchanges information via a KNX cable, the KNX RF system uses a wireless signal, meaning there is no need to lay cables. KNX RF can also be used to extend an existing wired KNX system.
The Gira HomeServer is the on-board computer for the smart home. It connects the KNX system’s electrical installation to the computer network and the internet. With its various operating devices, it gives you centralised control over intelligent building technology – at home or on the move. What’s more, it also allows for integration of a large number of further technologies, such as a door communication system, cameras and audio systems.
No, after a factory reset, the password on the device remains activated.
For end-customers, the device password should be in the documentation provided by the electrical engineering firm. If this is not the case, please contact your specialist installer as the device is built-in and therefore you cannot access it.
If you have updated the firmware of the device for which you have not yet received a password, the new password after the firmware update will be “device”.
