Gira System 70 with various control units on a dark wall

Gira System 70: Minimalist design. Maximum possibilities.

Gira System 70: Minimalist design. Maximum possibilities.

A clear, understated design for the wall, that offers more than meets the eye. Gira System 70 is a design platform based on generous 70 × 70 mm control surfaces, combining convenient operation with the flexibility of a modular system. Light switches, socket outlets, blind controls, and Smart Home applications can be combined to create a clean, minimalist design.

More than 200 functions are available. The design lines, each available in five colours, give you the freedom to tailor the look to your individual interior style.

How does Gira System 70 work?

Gira System 70 is based on a modular principle. A wide range of 70 × 70 mm inserts can be integrated into a cover frame, including light switches, room climate sensors, blind controls, and smart pushbutton sensors. The functions can be tailored precisely to the requirements of your home. Components can be added or replaced at any time by a specialist company without having to change the selected cover frame design.

The name System 70 refers to the standardised format that connects its design lines and functions across the platform. This ensures that all components within the system fit together perfectly. A distinctive feature of System 70 is that the inserts in multiple cover frames sit directly next to each other without visible centre bars. This creates seamless transitions between light switches, socket outlets, and other control elements for a particularly clean, understated look on the wall.

Three design lines. One clear concept.

The design lines of Gira System 70 include F100, F200, and F300. They all share generous control surfaces and the same underlying modular system, while each line has its own distinctive design. F200 is available in two versions: the surface-mounted design of F200 and the almost flush finish of F200 flush. This allows you to choose the design that best suits your interior without compromising on the benefits of Gira System 70.

Gira System 70: over 200 functions for every need

From lighting and doorcommunication to roomclimate, network connections, and Smart Home: there is a suitable solution for almost every application and requirement.

Over 200 function inserts are available to choose from, including:

  • Network, TV, and loudspeaker connections

Your home keeps one cohesive design, room to room. From the light switch in the hallway and the socket outlet with USB connection in your home office to the smart pushbutton sensor for controlling lights, blinds, and much more.

One Gira System 70. Three ways to a Smart Home.

Gira System 70 is more than a design platform: it can be combined with various Gira Smart Home systems and can grow with your requirements. The system you choose determines whether you simply want more convenient control of individual functions such as lighting and heating or want everything in your home connected. From an easy introduction to Smart Home technology with the control of individual functions to comprehensive building automation, there is a suitable system for every need.

All four versions are available as flush-mounted variants in five system colours: pure white glossy, pure white satin matt, grey matt, anthracite, and black matt.

Gira System 70: ready for the future.

Sustainability sometimes starts in the places you'd least expect, inside a light switch or socket outlet, for example. The switch bases of the new generation of switches are made entirely from recycled material. This conserves valuable raw materials and puts existing materials to good use.

Gira also focuses on more sustainable solutions for visible materials. In the pure white glossy colour variant, the cover frames of all design lines in Gira System 70 are made from a plastic that is derived predominantly from plant-based rather than fossil raw materials.

Gira also focuses on more sustainable solutions for visible materials. In the pure white glossy colour variant, the cover frames of all design lines in Gira System 70 are made from a plastic that is derived predominantly from plant-based rather than fossil raw materials. This results in significantly lower CO₂ emissions than conventional plastic.¹

Sustainability does not end with the materials, however. Gira System 70 is manufactured in Radevormwald, Germany. The production facilities are supplied directly with electricity from Gira's own solar park.² Development and manufacturing in Germany, together with regional supply chains, help keep transport distances short and create products designed for a service life of more than 20 years.

¹ The plastic is described as biocircular and generates around 72% fewer CO₂ emissions than fossil-based plastic, based on a life cycle assessment in accordance with ISO 14040/EN 15804 (cradle-to-gate).
