You can establish a connection between the door communication system bus and the existing (ISDN) telephone system or router (e.g. Fritzbox) with similar connections or a similar exchange connection via the TC gateway.
Please note that the programming set with item no. 1291 00 is required in all cases when connecting to the router. This is necessary in order to programme special characters (that are necessary to dial into the router) into the DCS-TC gateway.

The transponder reader, item no. 2606 xx, and the required accessories are no longer sold. The transponder reader is compatible with external transponder cards that use the “Hitag 2” standard.
The DCS-TC gateway is the connection between the door communication system and an analogue telephone or an existing telephone system. The DCS-IP gateway is the IP network interface used, for example, to integrate an external IP camera and the Gira HomeServer into the TCS system or to enable forwarding to mobile Android or iOS end devices. Further functions are described in the technical documentation available in our download section here.
The inscription labels can also be removed or swapped by customers relatively easily without having to use any special tools. To remove or swap an inscription label, follow these steps:
- Remove the call-button cover plate, using a screwdriver for example.
- Remove the inscription label.
- Affix a new inscription label, if required.
- Reattach the call-button cover plate.
To forward a call to a mobile phone, you will also need the DCS-IP gateway, item no. 2620 9x, and a DC 24V power supply, item no. 1296 00. Older DCS-IP gateways can also be used for this, following a firmware update.
