You sometimes forget to turn off the lights before leaving? Any time you’re unsure if you’ve forgot again, you can check remotely using the app on your smartphone and control your smart functions from anywhere.
Remote access also comes in handy in unexpected situations such as sudden bad weather. For KNX based Smart Home systems, the Gira Smart Home app or Gira HomeServer app allows mobile remote access. If you like, your home can even notify you by SMS or voice message when the security system is triggered.
To ensure secure mobile access via the app, the Gira S1 remote access module encrypts communications, guaranteeing the highest level of data security.
Smart Home control via voice
If your phone is out of reach but you don’t feel like getting up from the sofa, you are able to simply command your connected home by voice. In combination with the compact Gira X1, you can control your KNX Smart Home using the Amazon Alexa voice assistant. If your home is connected via radio technology, you can also use Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for voice control of your building technology.
