• Blind control: raise and lower your shutters separately or together using group control with just one click – for example at sundown, when there’s a storm, or in the evening to maintain your privacy. 

• Lighting control: flexible control of your lighting to suit requirements – whether you're reading, eating, working or relaxing. Light scenes that have been created can be saved and reactivated at any time. 

• Climate control: heat or cool your rooms only when you need to, and help lower energy consumption. The system uses fully automated heating control to identify, for example, when windows have been opened to air out the room, and turns the heating down. The Gira Smart Home App makes it easy and convenient to regulate the room temperature even when you’re out and about. 

• Music control with Sonos: you can also use the app to integrate your Sonos speakers into the Gira One system and play your own music. Start your days in a good mood – by listening to your favourite playlist. 

• Door communication: not only can you use Gira G1 as a central operating unit to control your Smart Home system, but also to control your front door. Smart door communication products such as Gira Keyless In give you keyless access to your home. The DCS mobile App also lets you speak to any visitors, and even open the door for them, when you’re out and about. 

• Security: KNX Secure ensures your Smart Home remains safe from third-party access and manipulation by outsiders. You can also switch off any devices not required at home quickly and easily at the touch of a button – or check whether everything is OK at home by accessing the IP security cameras while you’re on holiday. 

The free of charge Gira Project Assistant (GPA) is used to start up Gira One: it guides your electrical engineering firmly through the full configuration process with step-by-step instructions and video tutorials. Settings previously chosen can be activated on all Gira One devices in no time at all. The Gira Smart Home App allows you to make your own changes later on – and also makes it possible to integrate systems like Sonos or Philips Hue.

All functions in the Gira One Smart Home system can be controlled the accustomed way using normal buttons – they are compatible with all design lines in the Gira System 55 and with Gira F100. What’s more, the system can also be controlled from the fixed Gira G1 central operating unit or on a smartphone or tablet using the Gira Smart Home App. 

Protected from tampering and unauthorised external access: the Gira One server gives you the reassurance that your data exchange is secure because the KNX Secure security standard guarantees encrypted communication between devices in the Smart Home. This has also been confirmed by a security certificate: the VDE Testing and Certification Institute has awarded the Gira One server its “Smart Home – Information Security Tested” certification.
