The Gira recycled material doesn’t only represent sustainability, but also an environmentally aware lifestyle. It fits seamlessly into any interior with the Gira E2 design line. Its material, made from recycled plastic waste, contributes significantly to conserving natural resources.
Our recycled material offers sustainable quality: its outstanding properties make it a versatile material, suitable for both residential and commercial spaces. With high resistance to wear and easy maintenance, Gira’s recycled plastic is ideal for areas subjected to heavy use.
The recycled material comes from carefully sorted and processed plastic waste, which Gira recycles using innovative processes. These ensure that the quality of the material is preserved, allowing it to be repurposed for new, high-quality applications.

What was once considered waste becomes a valuable product that meets modern design and quality standards: with recycled material, you can not only enhance your spaces visually but also make a small contribution to environmental protection.
With Gira E2 light grey2 in recycled material, Gira adds a sustainable design line to its design lines. The plastic components of this design line are primarily3 made from Gira recycled material, reducing the carbon footprint by around 54% compared to new material4. A wide range of functions from the Gira System 55 are also available in light grey upon request. The painted versions of Gira E2 in colour aluminium and grey matt also contain recycled material components.

To meet our technical quality standards, we produce the recycled material using a particularly gentle reprocessing method. As we manufacture at regular intervals and use various scrap materials, there may be differences in the colouring of individual items between batches. We have deliberately embraced this authenticity, also as part of our pricing strategy.
1 In standard regranulation processes, the regranulate can only be used as around a 15 per cent additive to the primary granulate.
2 The E2 light grey recycled design line may show slight variations in colour depending on the production batch.
3 Only the socket cover and additional components, such as transparent labelling fields, are made from new material.
4 This reduction was calculated based on a life cycle assessment according to DIN 14040 for a Gira E2 single frame made from plastic in glossy Pure White.
