This year, more than 400 companies joined the race for the coveted price. Among these, 22 participants stood out in particular. Gira was one of the top 22 who earned the title „Best of Best“, receiving Iconic Awards in the category “Building Furnishings” for two products: the Gira System 3000 touch top unit and the flush-mounted variant of Gira System 106.
Gira System 3000 combines three smart functions: light, heating, and blind control. With the intuitive touch top unit, this becomes even more comfortable. A slight tap or swipe is enough to precisely adjust the brightness or the blinds’ position. As part of Gira System 55, the touch top unit can be mixed and matched with all possible frame variants to fit any interior style.
Smart technology meets modern aesthetics: Gira System 106 is a door intercom that complements the Gira home stations. Thanks to its modular structure, the system can be customised according to individual preferences – in terms of functionality as well as design. Apart from the classic surface-mounted installation, the Gira System 106 is also available as a flush-mounted variant. Anyone who aims for a harmonious look can thus integrate their door intercom seamlessly into the facade.
In the previous year, Gira also won two prices and thereby made it into the top 20 out of 500 competitors. The lucky winners: the Gira pushbutton sensor 4 and the Gira motion detector Cube.
In KNX Smart Homes, the Gira pushbutton sensor 4 takes manual switch control to a whole new level. Its smooth operating surface is available in various colours and materials, including black glass, white glass, and aluminium. Integrated LEDs serve as a status display for connected devices and turn the switch into an eye-catching highlight.
As its name suggests, the most prominent feature of the Gira motion detector Cube is its cubic shape. Equipped with smart sensors, the device proves convenient for both new builds and retrofittings. It comes in two variants – anthracite and pure white glossy – and can serve as either a subtle accent or a striking statement on the facade.
The Iconic Awards: Innovative Interior is sustained by the German Design Council. Founded in 1953 at the initiative of the German government, this council aims to strengthen design talent on the free market in Germany. Currently, around 340 companies hold membership.
