The desired function is called up and executed with a single finger on the sensitive touch surface or with gestures such as scrolling, swiping, or resting your hand on the display. The brilliant 9 x 16 cm TFT colour display provides an extremely clear representation of images, graphics, and text.

Gira G1 is not only suitable as an operating device for a KNX installation with Gira X1 or Gira HomeServer, but also for controlling the eNet SMART HOME. In this way, it becomes an intelligent central operating unit in any smart home and is equally suitable for modernisation projects, retrofits, and new builds.

With its timelessly elegant, linear design, the intelligent Gira G1 central operating unit fits aesthetically into any interior design concept. What’s more, it comes in two colours – black and white.

Carefree operation thanks to encrypted connection with KNX Secure In order that you can operate your Smart Home without worries, KNX Secure secures communication between the Gira G1 operating device and all other KNX Secure-capable devices. Thanks to this encrypted and tamper-proof connection, you can be absolutely certain of maintaining full control of your system at all times - without having to fear unwanted external intervention.

Your dream concert can begin: All audio systems with a KNX interface or Sonos speakers can be conveniently operated via the Gira G1.

The integrated room temperature controller, which is used to control, configure and monitor heating and/or cooling systems, always ensures a comfortable indoor climate.

Blinds, roller shutters and awnings can be raised or lowered to any height directly or at a predefined time. The position of the blind slats can also be variably controlled.

Flexible lighting management just how you want it: Switch individual lights or entire lighting scenes on and off manually or automatically. Or dim them for a cosy atmosphere. And for an atmospheric feel, lights with a colour change function (RGB, RGBW and TunableWhite) can be tuned to exactly the right colour for you using a colour circle, or ‘colour picker’.

You can also use additional devices to call up images from your door intercom via the Gira G1. When the doorbell rings, a camera image of the visitor automatically appears in the display. At the touch of a finger, you can communicate with your visitor, open the door, and switch on the lights in the corridor or stairwell.

Thanks to help from the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) communication stand, connection to external systems from other manufacturers is also possible. Connect the Gira G1 to door stations from Comelit, Schüco or DCS and with that easily upgrade your existing devices with multi-talk mode and Gira G1’s concierge function. This makes G1 extremely versatile, allowing it to be used for both door communication and as an interface for building control with KNX or eNet.
