Gira surface-mounted door station

In addition to the door station for flush-mounting, the Gira door communication system also offers door stations for surface-mounted installation: these are completely pre-assembled and are only 19 mm thick. Firstly an anodised aluminium carrier profile with the PCB unit and functions is screwed onto the wall , and then a cover frame protected from adverse weather influences is mounted.

The hands-free unit is equipped with an echo suppressor. The microphone automatically activates where the level is greater. If ambient noises at the front door are particularly loud, the speaker at the home station can activate the microphone with the enforcement function by pressing of the button.

The name plates of the call buttons can be easily replaced without having to remove the cover frame. The push buttons are evenly backlit with maintenance-free, energy-saving LED in white or blue. If a call button of the 3-gang variant is unassigned because it is used for example for a two-family house, it simply receives a cover plate or in combination with a switching actuator takes on another function such as light switching.

Gira door stations are eminently equipped for outdoor use: they consist of shatter-proof and scratch-resistant thermoplastic which is resistant to ultraviolet light and are water-protected in accordance with IP 44. The fastening of the cover frames with Torx screws ensures theft protection: after mounting, the door stations can only be removed by means of a special Torx screwdriver. In order to increase the theft protection the cover frames can also by fastened with Tri-Wing screws which are optionally available.

The mounting plate is used to cover installation openings in the wall which have remained from a previous door intercom system when the Gira door communication system is retrofitted. It consists of anodised aluminium and has holes for wall mounting and openings for receiving the Gira door station flush-mounted.
