KNX is the worldwide standard for smart building technology. In that context, RF refers to radio frequency – i. e. connections via radio signal. Conventional KNX systems depend on special wired networks. With KNX RF, however, additional cabling is no longer necessary: the wireless Gira system can be retrofitted in existing buildings without tearing walls open.
Your house is very likely to have the most important requirement for Gira KNX RF already: a standard 230 V installation for switches or socket outlets. Your local specialist partner will take care of the set-up on site. To that end, the Gira System 3000 serves as the basis: Gira KNX RF operating top units are simply attached onto the flush-mounted inserts. The launch and configuration also work via radio transmission. Using a USB stick as the data interface, installers can set up and activate the system at your house.
In combination with the Gira X1, you have all possible options to customise the system according to your needs. The mini server is integrated into KNX Smart Homes via the KNX RF media coupler. Your specialist partner will take care of the installation.
You want to ensure that the system fits into your home and install switches on walls without power supply lines? In that case, the battery-operated KNX RF pushbutton sensor offers a neat solution. It can be placed on virtually any surface: stone, concrete, wood, glass, and even furniture.
You want to ensure that the system fits into your home and install switches on walls without power supply lines? In that case, the battery-operated KNX RF pushbutton sensor offers a neat solution. It can be placed on virtually any surface: stone, concrete, wood, glass, and even furniture. The pushbutton sensor enables you to control your lights, blinds, and heating intuitively. Just as the KNX RF operating top unit, it is part of the Gira System 55 and thus compatible with various frame variants from the Gira design lines: a major plus for anyone who loves a perfectly coordinated interior.
The battery-operated, hand-held Gira KNX RF transmitters make Smart Home control particularly comfortable. With these mobile devices, you can activate any function from any room – to dim the lights, adjust indoor temperatures, or start customised scenes you created and saved beforehand.
