KNX is the worldwide standard for smart building technology. In that context, RF refers to radio frequency – i. e. connections via radio signal. Conventional KNX systems depend on special wired networks. With KNX RF, however, additional cabling is no longer necessary: the wireless Gira system can be retrofitted in existing buildings without tearing walls open.   

Your house is very likely to have the most important requirement for Gira RF for KNXalready: a standard 230 V installation for switches or socket outlets.
