London’s finest.

London’s finest.

Pretty special, even by London’s benchmark. A new corner building on Chelsea’s main thoroughfare offers space for eleven extraordinary residential units, in addition to a cinema and three retail spaces on the ground floor. Luxurious, right at the forefront of the times, and featuring a spectacular tower and roof terrace – that’s Essoldo House.

Landmark on King’s Road

In the 1960s and 1970s, King’s Road formed the epicentre of the hippy and punk subcultures, and has since grown to become one of the capital city’s places to be. Inspired by Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood, who opened their first boutique here, it is now in the hands of hip designers while also offering high-end dining, lifestyle and luxury shopping. There used to be an old cinema on the corner of Old Church Street, which has now given way to a remarkable new building. Designed by Nick Shipp Architects, the largely four-storey building closes a gap in the streetscape, adding a true landmark with its distinctive tower-like bay window. It still houses a small but stylish cinema on the first floor, as well as three retail units on the ground floor.

The best of tradition and modernity

The eleven residential units consist of three maisonettes and eight single-storey units, ranging from around 70 to 145 m² in size. They all combine 21st century design and mod-cons with the character of traditional Chelsea, and all have at least one balcony or a roof terrace with views over the borough – in some cases even more. The building has underground parking and, as you would expect, offers a concierge service for residents.

No expense spared

Essoldo House’s absolute commitment to luxury is visible in each and every detail – solid, high-quality oak floors, Carrara marble in all the bathrooms, and Porcelanosa kitchens, fitted out exclusively with the latest generation of Miele appliances, including a wine cooler and hot water taps. The building services are also state-of-the-art: all functions, from the air conditioning and lighting to the Sonos speakers installed throughout the units and even the security system are interconnected by a KNX system and can be controlled from a central point. A Smart Home in its purest form. Essoldo House is controlled using a Gira X1 Smart Home server. In addition, a Gira S1 encrypts the KNX system, enabling secure remote access. The switches and socket outlets from the Gira E2 design line in stainless steel also complement the high-quality elegance of the interior in a very special property – truly London’s finest.
