The concept of the Conscious Hotels – which, to date, has only been implemented in Amsterdam – is to be as 'green', sustainable, and eco-friendly as possible. The hotel's guest communications are equally original. The small hotel chain explicitly campaigns with statements such as: "The desk in your room is made out of recycled yoghurt pots, refrigerators and coffee cup holders". Ecological, but not fundamentalist; that's the motto: "Our apple juice comes from apples without air miles and our beer is locally brewed (we can even show you the brewery if you can still see straight ...)."

The 3-star Conscious Hotel Westerpark is located in a historical building in Amsterdam's Westerpark district.
