Development (hardware and software)
In addition to our diverse product fields involving intelligent building system technology, new development projects have a high priority at Gira. Technology-loving teams including engineers and developers dealing with electromechanics, systems, hardware and firmware, for example, form the basis for successful results.
From embedded and desktop software to apps for smart devices, the key tasks of our software architects range from conceptual design to the testing of high-performance solutions. In the process, we aim to realise effective software systems and select suitable technologies.
Software development is one of the core tasks of our development department – because without efficient, complex and reliable programs, there can be no smart buildings. Throughout all development phases, our colleagues carry out pre-development projects to identify and eliminate potential technical risks.
IT
From the Gira Connect digital collaboration platform and customer management system to SAP applications and the 3D design of new products on PCs, modern information technologies and digital tools play an important role in all areas of the company at Gira.
The underlying IT process and process infrastructure must not only be continuously maintained, but also kept up to date. In light of the dynamic development of digital technologies in particular, this is an ongoing task for our division.
Project management
Complex and fascinating tasks are part of our project managers’ remit. From brainstorming to successful project completion, our colleagues are responsible for a wide variety of topics.
From the voice-controlled Smart Home Hub to our elaborately constructed trade fair stand at Light + Building: for us, precise management is essential for a well-engineered outcome in all projects.
The work of our project managers in areas such as plastic manufacturing and building systems technology also covers a wide range of key areas: from task definition to “touchdown” and final acceptance. Sustainable risk management and compliance with all quality, deadline and budget specifications are an essential part of this.
Sales
Gira Sales represents our entire product range in the field of innovative building system technology.
Over the course of their daily work, our colleagues are in close contact with customers, including specialist planners, architects and system integrators.
For us, providing professional advice to our contacts as equals is a matter of course, whether done digitally or in person. This is because we want to work together to find pioneering paths and solutions to help shape this dynamic market.
Supply chain management
Our SCM function combines the areas of logistics, shipping and customs. In essence, it is about supporting a wide range of processes, from product development to series production and delivery to our customers. SCM considers itself to be a cross-departmental interface.
Over the course of their daily work, colleagues develop solid supply chain concepts. They systematically present important information, creating a basis for processes that deliver vital internal and cross-company benefits.
