The upmarket district of Chelsea is located in West London. Many celebrities and artists have set up home this colourful neighbourhood, including Henry James, Oscar Wilde, Bob Marley, Mark Knopfler, Gwyneth Paltrow and Vivienne Westwood. King’s Road, which was first laid out in the 17th century, formed a hub for the hippy and punk subcultures in the 1960s and 1970s. The area also gives its name to Chelsea FC, one of Britain’s most famous football clubs.

Any room in your home should reflect your own personality. The Gira Esprit design line invites you to give your walls a unique make-over with high-quality materials: glass, metal, stainless steel, or linoleum-plywood.
The Gira X1 was developed specifically for Smart Homes with a KNX network. It enables you to connect a variety of devices and monitor automated processes via app. Minimum effort for maximum comfort.
Gira pushbutton sensor 3
Controlling lighting and blinds, regulating the room temperature, or setting mood scenes including lights, blinds, and music – the Gira pushbutton sensor 3 enables you to control a multitude of functions with just one button.
Random switching operations for lights and blinds create the impression that someone is at home. And if you integrate the room temperature controller into the control unit, you can easily set your individual room temperature.
A single-family home in this luxurious district, Chelsea Residence, has recently undergone extensive renovations. The system integrator James Tillyard from MOSAIC was contracted for the project. The team at Mosaic AV is comprised of experienced specialists.
Understated elegance is what characterises the 260 m² house. Multiple bedrooms are not only a veritable treat for the owners, but also for guests. The large, bright dining room provides plenty of space for celebrations and parties. In the tastefully furnished living room, the owners can round off their evening with a game of billiards, for example. Carefully chosen paintings adorn the walls in all rooms.
The system integrator Mosaic AV recommended that the owners install a KNX system with the Gira X1. It can do everything that a single-family home needs, such as switching the lights on and off, activating light scenes, and raising or lowering blinds. Four Gira G1s were also installed in the residence. The G1 is a compact room operating device for the KNX system. It is distinguished by its compact elegance and the clear design of its interface. Not only does it look impressive; it’s also easy to operate at the tap of a finger.
The Gira G1 has a wide range of functions, from controlling lighting and blinds to setting room temperatures, programming timers, activating scenes on demand, and door communication. The Gira G1 can also be used as a home station in combination with the Gira DCS IP gateway and a video-based door station. When someone rings the doorbell, the device automatically switches to door intercom mode. The door station with its integrated camera provides residents with additional security. The door will not open for uninvited guests.
