Inspiring conversations, fascinating lectures and a good dose of la dolce vita – Gira with BERÜHRUNGSPUNKTE in Venice
Every two years, Venice becomes the centre of architectural discourse with the Architecture Biennale. Gira was there on the opening weekend and, with the communication initiative BERÜHRUNGSPUNKTE, created a hub for architects and an ideal starting point for visiting the Architecture Biennale.
From 7 to 11 May 2025, Gira, KEUCO and TRILUX hosted an exclusive meeting point in the heart of Venice – including an extensive supporting programme, water taxi rides and, of course, the best Aperol Spritz.
The venue was the historic Palazzo Contarini Polignac, an architectural gem of the early Venetian Renaissance, located directly on the Grand Canal. Here, architects and architecture enthusiasts gathered to network, exchange ideas and relax in an inspiring atmosphere.
We look back on five wonderful days in a unique atmosphere that words can hardly describe.
Many thanks to everyone who registered in advance and joined us on site to celebrate architecture. It is always a great pleasure to combine the special charm of Venice with international architectural discourse and to create this unique meeting point.
We would also like to thank the entire BERÜHRUNGSPUNKTE team for the flawless organisation and our partners KEUCO and TRILUX for their trust and cooperation.
We are already looking forward to the opening weekend of the Architecture Biennale 2027 – and are excited to see what inspiration this 20th anniversary will bring.
Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective.
The Architecture Biennale in Venice is one of the most important platforms for contemporary architecture worldwide. Under the title “Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective.”, the 19th International Architecture Exhibition questions our built environment and its future, once again highlighting the issues that are driving architecture today and will shape it tomorrow. More than 60 countries are presenting their contributions to the global architectural discourse in national pavilions, exhibitions and projects.
From 10 May to 23 November 2025, the 19th Architecture Biennale will showcase a wide array of international perspectives, all derived from the overarching theme and centred on architecture’s ability to adapt to today’s challenges.
„We architects like to think of ourselves as smart, but true intelligence can be found everywhere.” - Carlo Ratti
The curator of this year’s Architecture Biennale Carlo Ratti – architect, engineer and director of the MIT Senseable City Lab – presents a vision of urban space as a collective system. “Intelligens” stands for the interplay of natural and artificial intelligence – and for the potential of collective knowledge in architectural design.
