Gira home station receiver

The Gira home station receiver's main functions are concealed behind the receiver. The basic device with receiver, microphone and call buttons can be optionally expanded to include a TFT colour display and an additional button for in-house calls.

Functions and features

The voice quality achieved by all the Gira home station models can be compared to quality levels achieved in mobiles or hands-free systems in cars. The user selects his/her favourite from five different ringtone melodies, as well as two optional additional functions: on/off light switching – e.g. for staircases – and an automatic door opener, which is often used in medical practices to open the door automatically when somebody rings the bell. These functions are hidden behind the receiver, which is simply taken off the hook to answer a call without the need for further button-pressing.

Speaker and microphone

The intercom unit is equipped with an echo suppressor. The microphone is automatically activated at the location where the level is higher. If ambient noise at the front door is particularly high, the person at the home station can activate the microphone with an override function by pressing a button.

Call button

The surfaces of the call and operating buttons are robust, UV-resistant, and shock and scratch resistant. The buttons are assigned functions such as door opening, call acceptance and control of ringtone and speech volume. Here the user selects one of five different ringtone melodies.

Additional call button for in-house calling

The call button for in-house calls enables you to call one home station from another one in the same building, e.g. from the attic to the hobby room in the basement. When used in conjunction with a switching actuator, it can also switch lights on or off. With the Gira Inscription Service, the additional call button can be professionally designed according to your personal specifications. This can be done quickly and easily online atwww.beschriftung.gira.de.

TFT colour display

The TFT colour display is available in 4.6 cm (1.8") or in the F100 range in 6.4 cm (2.5"). In terms of quality, it is comparable with the high-tech displays of modern digital cameras or mobile phones. Thanks to TFT technology, LED backlighting and comfortable resolution, viewing is not impaired even when seen from an angle. The display is activated automatically as soon as someone rings the doorbell, but can also be activated manually.

The 1-way switch also controls the selection of up to five cameras. The display then shows which of the cameras is currently active. The cursor button with 5-way navigation controls the menu navigation of the on-screen functions. The TFT colour display's brightness, contrast, and colour intensity can be set in this way.
