Hotel Speicher 7 in Mannheim

For more than 20 years, the old granary from the 1950s stood empty in Mannheim's industrial harbour, before the local architectural firm of Schmucker und Partner renovated and restored it. Speicher 7 now houses a boutique hotel with 20 rooms and numerous offices. The architects themselves moved in to the uppermost storey, having leased the building along with seven private investors for 30 years from the owner, "Hafengesellschaft Mannheim".
