Gira electronic blind controller 2 with sensor analysis

Besides programming fixed times and configuring the integrated Astro program and the connectible random generator, sun, twilight and glass-breakage sensors can also be connected. These ensure that the rooms in the home are always ideally shielded.

The sensor functions have priority over the time functions: For example, if the sunlight in the room gets too intense, the blinds lower automatically, even if a different time has been programmed. Of course, manual actuation is possible at any time.

Settings and functions

Certain switching times are factory-preset for a quick start-up. A total of 9 UP and 9 DOWN switching times per day can be programmed within 3 program memory spaces. The Astro program, which factors in changing sunrise and sunset times, can reschedule the activation of the blinds by +/- 2 hours. When the random generator is used for times of absence, this becomes +/- 15 minutes. The switch to summer time or winter time is automatic. 

The 23 x 40 mm LCD display shows all the information: the next movement time of the blind(s), day of week, time, status of the Astro program, summer time or winter time, as well as whether the random generator is active or not. The power reserve is up to 4 hours.

Sensor analysis

The electronic blind controller 2 with sensor analysis has connection options for various sensors. The Gira sun and twilight sensors are suitable for protection against direct sunlight. They aim for an average brightness level of approx. 20,000 lux (brightness of an overcast summer day). In addition, glass-breakage sensors can be coupled with the electronic blind controller 2. They lower the blinds in case of a shock to the glass, glass breakage or forced entry. The sensor cable is connected to the control button or blind controller insert via a screw terminal.
