Generally speaking, Gira building technology can be divided into three areas. Gira offers a wide range of products for conventional installation in the fields of electricity, light, door communication, communication technology and more besides. There are also two intelligent systems that enable a high degree of convenience, security, flexibility and value due to automation and remote control: the Gira KNX/EIB system and the Gira wireless bus system.

Conventional installation

Socket outlets, dimmers, touch switches, room temperature controllers, LED lighting, antenna connections, motion detectors, door intercoms and more besides.

Gira KNX/EIB system

Intelligent building technology is implemented with flexible bus technology. Devices communicate with one another and exchange information within the system. A KNX/EIB control line is laid parallel to the mains supply for this purpose. Options: needs-based use of lighting and heating, central control of light, blinds, ventilation and household appliances, programming of specific light scenes, multimedia or music entertainment in all rooms, automatic watering of the garden, occupancy simulation and more besides.

Gira wireless bus system

Retrofitting intelligence the easy way, without any dirt or noise: With the Gira wireless bus system, a wide range of control options – such as light scenes, blind and heating control and automatic lighting – can be implemented without any need to prise open walls. Communication is via transmitters and receivers.
