Gira Alarm Connect

Gira Alarm Connect consists of several components:  

• the alarm centre Connect 

• a wireless operating unit 

• glass breakage and motion detectors 

• magnetic contacts for windows and doors  

• sirens for indoors and outdoors 

When you go to bed at night, the system switches to “active inside“ mode. Before leaving the house, you can turn on the “active outside“ mode. Either way, Gira Alarm Connect will keep a watchful eye on your home. The wireless network can easily be retrofitted without major renovation work.

It is connected to wireless motion sensors, which react to persons walking by based on thermal movement. Ideally, the device should be installed at spots where burglars will most likely pass through – e.g. in hallways or main living areas.   

Gira Alarm Connect not only helps you prevent burglaries – it also alerts you in due time if something is about to catch fire. To that end, wireless Gira smoke alarm devices can be integrated into the security system. As soon as the device detects smoke particles via scattered light measurement, it triggers a piercing sound with a volume of 85 decibels. You can furthermore retrofit a GSM module (short for “Global System for Mobile Communication“) to set up a remote alarm as well. The smoke detector’s battery has a guaranteed life span of ten years.

This contact can also be notified whenever the system hasn’t registered any movement around the house for a certain time.
