Smoke alarm devices or fire alarm devices are devices that trigger a timely alarm in the event of a fire in private houses and public buildings based on the level of smoke and/or heat development, thus saving lives. The use of these devices is already mandatory for new builds and building conversions in all federal states. In some cases, there are transitional regulations that apply to existing residences, meaning that these must also be equipped accordingly.
If you decide to use a wireless module (which is optional), you must first check whether the smoke alarm device is sending the signal and not the wireless module. A signal from a smoke alarm device can have many causes. You can find the possible causes for error in the operating instructions here under Operating and alarm signals.
Both products can only be identified if the product is removed from the cap.
Both products have the following features:
- Dual Q smoke alarm device: non-exchangeable battery, item no. 2336 02
- Dual VDS smoke alarm device: exchangeable battery, item no. 2330 02
Each wireless module must be taught into a wireless receiver if the receiver is to react to the module. For this, you will require a compatible smoke alarm device that allows wireless module installation.
At temperatures below -20°C, the rain monitor output is activated; above this temperature, snow and rain detection takes place as usual.
